Synoptic stations
These are the stations that according to the rules of the world meteorology organization (WMO), bound to measure the atmospheric parameters, sending them to the network communication every 3 hours (synop) and every hour, at the same time around the world. According to the use, they are divided into different kinds:
1 - Original synoptic station
2 - Complementary synoptic station
3 - Airport synoptic station

Climatology stations
They are the stations in which, the measurement of climate parameters, at the same time and according to the standard and climate studies are done and recorded. They are different according to the use and instrumental situation. Those are divided in to:
1 - Usual (climatologic)
2 - Automatic
3 - For specific targets

Rain and snow measuring meteorology station
Amount of rain and snow in the prescribed time are measured simultaneously in these places. Also the results are recorded. According to the measurement instruments, they are divided into two groups:
1 - Ordinary
2 - Automatic

Agrometeorology stations
In these places, at the same time, the information’s of meteorology – biology and the searching of agriculture meteorology is done. All of the measurements in two fields of meteorology and agriculture should be done by expert personals in different places. They are divided according to use.
1 - Original agriculture searching stations: All of the acts are done for sown field and plantation.
2 - Agriculture meteorology station for specific targets: In these stations special researches related to requirement in formations of planting and agricultural products are done.

upper atmospheric stations
These stations, at least twice in 24 hours, measure and prepare a profile of vertical atmosphere according to the prescribed rules of WMO and then send them to the national and international communication network. they record pressure, temperature, relative humidity and the speed and direction of wind. They are divided into two groups:
1 - Original or automatic
2 - pilot balloon

Maritime meteorology stations
These are as same as the original synoptic stations, in addition to sea parameters which prepared and in cod form are reported to the sea communication net work. According to the place of attach and use, they are differentiate in following kinds.
1 - Coastal
2 - Island
3 - Fixed plat form
4 - Buoy (Automatic sea meteorology stations)
5 - Fellow and ebb measurements
6 - Wave write
7 - Special ships ready for meteorology measurements.

Specific meteorology stations
They are called according to the parameters they measure and include the following stations:
1 - Atmospheric context polluted stations
2 - Ozone measurement stations
3 - Radiation measurement stations
